How Reface Works?
1. Face Embeddings Extraction
When you upload a photo, it''s transformed into unique numerical codes known as "face embeddings." These numbers represent facial features and are unique for every face.
2. Face Swap Process
Your input face goes through an encoder and turns into a representation vector. This vector is then processed by a matching decoder, creating a new face. When you request a face swap, the model generates the swapped images.
3. 48 Hours to Delete Data
Once face embeddings are extracted for face-swap processing, we remove your original photo from our cloud within 48 hours (plus a brief period for server operations).Face embeddings are no longer available for reuse after 48 hours and are completely erased from our database on the fourth day. If a user requests a face swap within 48 hours, we reuse the existing photo and embeddings. For requests made after 48 hours, the mobile app reloads the photo and reprocesses it.
