ChatArt review: iMyFone's all-in-one AI studio, metered in diamonds

3.0 / 5

Open a typical marketing week and count the tabs: one app for a product video, another for the thumbnail, a third for the caption, a fourth to check the copy doesn't read like a robot wrote it. ChatArt, from the utility-software maker iMyFone, is built on the bet that most of those tabs can collapse into one. It is a single workspace that generates video, images, music, stories and marketing copy, and routes each job to a different underlying AI model. Whether that bundle is a bargain or a compromise depends almost entirely on how much you actually create.

What ChatArt actually is

Our catalogue still files ChatArt under writing assistants, which undersells it. The current product is a broad creative suite. The home workspace splits into studios for video, image, music, and writing, plus a marketing studio, an "infinite canvas" for chaining prompts and assets into one visual workflow, and an autonomous agent (branded "Claw") meant to plan and run multi-step content jobs on its own.

The video side is the centre of gravity now. ChatArt does text-to-video, image-to-video, video extension and motion control, and it leans on outside models to do it. The chat tools sit on top of general-purpose models from several vendors, including Claude, Gemini and DeepSeek. That model-aggregation approach is the real design decision here: ChatArt is less a single AI and more a front end that picks a model per task, so you are paying for the workspace and the credits rather than for one proprietary engine.

The breadth is the point, and the catch

The pitch writes itself for anyone tired of tool-switching. You can draft a campaign concept, generate the product visual, turn it into a short social video, write the caption, and run the copy through an AI-text detector without leaving the tab. iMyFone lists writing helpers most people recognise from standalone products too: an article rewriter, a word changer, a longer-form novel studio and an SEO article writer. It runs on the web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with a browser extension, so the same account follows you across devices.

The catch is that breadth this wide invites clutter. Alongside the serious tools sits a long tail of SEO-bait micro-generators and novelty items, including likeness-driven ones such as an "AI kissing" generator and celebrity-styled video effects. None of that hurts the core video and image work, but it does signal a company optimising for search traffic and volume as much as for a focused creator workflow. If you want depth in one discipline, a specialist tool will usually go deeper than any one corner of ChatArt.

How the diamond credits work

Pricing is where you have to do homework, because the headline plan price is not the real cost. Everything you generate is metered in "diamonds," and the site publishes the rates. A text-to-video or image-to-video job runs 16 diamonds; extending a video costs 24; an AI song is 16 per track. Images are cheaper, at 6 diamonds for a standard-definition render and 10 for an ultra-HD 2K one, and utility tasks like background removal or watermark removal cost a few diamonds each. Text tools have their own tariff: the AI detector is 20 diamonds, the SEO article writer 30.

That structure matters more than any subscription tier. A free account gets a small taste (the site describes one experience per template, plus a 20-diamond bonus for signing up), which is enough to judge quality but not to ship real work. At the time of writing, ChatArt advertised monthly access around $10.99, an annual plan near $40.99, and a $99.99 lifetime option, usually buried under a running sale (53% off with up to 2,000 bonus diamonds when we last checked). Treat those numbers as a starting point rather than a guarantee: the live pricing sits behind a login, and a permanent-looking discount makes the true baseline hard to pin down. The honest way to budget ChatArt is to ignore the plan sticker and multiply your expected video count by 16 to 24 diamonds. Heavy video users will burn through an allowance quickly; someone generating mostly images and copy will find it comfortable.

Who it suits

ChatArt fits a specific buyer well: a solo creator, small marketing team or ecommerce seller who needs several content formats and would rather manage one subscription than five. The multi-format workflow is genuinely convenient when a single idea has to become a post, an image, a short video and a caption. The multilingual interface (English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese among others) also makes it a reasonable pick outside English-first markets.

It fits less well if you live in one format and want the best possible output there, or if you need predictable, flat-rate costs. Credit metering rewards light-to-moderate use and punishes heavy production runs.

What to weigh before you buy

Two things deserve a hard look. First, the model provenance is opaque: ChatArt advertises a long, frequently updated list of "latest" model versions, and which one you actually get, at what quality, can shift without much transparency. Second, this is an iMyFone product operated out of China, with a Chinese ICP license on the site footer, so anyone with data-residency or privacy requirements should check where content and prompts are processed before committing a workflow to it.

Independent signal is also thinner than the marketing implies. ChatArt appears on review aggregators like Trustpilot and SourceForge, but there is little organic discussion on Reddit or Hacker News to cross-check the vendor's claims, so early buyers are largely trusting the free tier and the marketing. That is a reason to test before you subscribe, not a dealbreaker.

Overall it lands at 3 out of 5: a legitimate, unusually broad workspace from an established developer, dragged down by credit economics you have to model yourself, a cluttered tool list, and light third-party validation. Run a few real jobs on the free diamonds first. If the video and image quality clears your bar and the credit math works for your volume, the one-workspace convenience is worth paying for.
