SiteSpeakAI review: an AI support agent that answers and acts

PaidMost "AI chatbot for your website" tools stop at answering questions. SiteSpeakAI's argument is that answering is the easy part. Its tagline — an AI agent for your site that "answers and acts" — points at what it wants to be: a bot that not only tells a visitor your refund policy, but looks up their order, books the meeting, captures the lead, and hands off to a human when it hits something it shouldn't handle.

Whether that ambition holds up depends on your traffic and your budget, and there are a couple of things worth reading before you paste in your URL.
What it actually does
You point SiteSpeakAI at your website, help docs, PDFs, or videos, and it trains an agent on that content so it can answer customer questions in your own words. Installation is a single line of code, and the agent works in 95+ languages. That part is table stakes now; most competitors do the same thing.
The "acts" half is where it tries to separate itself. Beyond answering, the agent can capture leads, book meetings, and look up live data through connected tools, then escalate a conversation to your team with full context when it decides it shouldn't answer. There's a built-in inbox and live chat widget, so human handoff doesn't mean bolting on a separate help desk. Analytics track what visitors ask and where the bot comes up short, which is the loop you actually need to keep a trained bot useful over time.

For the more technical crowd, higher tiers add an MCP server and API access, plus bring-your-own-keys so you can run it against your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI account. The company follows the agent-tooling trend closely: its free-tools page includes an llms.txt generator and an OKF bundle generator, and its own site ships both.
Pricing, and the number to watch
SiteSpeakAI has a free plan and four paid tiers, billed monthly or roughly 17% cheaper yearly:

- Free: $0, 30 message credits a month, 1 agent, 10 training sources, basic models only.
- Starter: $29/mo ($24 yearly), 1,000 credits, lead capture, removes the "Powered By" badge.
- Pro: $79/mo ($66 yearly), 3,000 credits, 5 agents, all AI models plus BYOK, WhatsApp and HubSpot, API and MCP access. This is the "most popular" tier.
- Growth: $249/mo ($208 yearly), 10,000 credits, 15 agents, custom domain, daily source syncing.
- Business: $499/mo ($416 yearly), 20,000 credits, unlimited agents, dedicated onboarding.
The pricing reads well when you comparison-shop: AI answering is included on every paid plan rather than gated behind a premium add-on, and there's no per-conversation surcharge. But the message-credit ceiling is the real limit, and it's easy to skate past in the marketing. Pro's 3,000 monthly credits sounds workable until a moderately busy storefront does the math on a message-heavy support flow, where a single conversation eats several. If your volume is unpredictable, size your worst month rather than your average one, because the step from Pro to Growth is $79 to $249.
Two more gating notes. The free tier runs on basic AI models only; the advanced OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI models plus BYOK don't unlock until Pro. And escalate-to-human, PII redaction, and file attachments sit on the paid tiers too, so the free plan is genuinely a trial rather than a long-term option for anything customer-facing.
Who it fits
The sweet spot is small and mid-sized businesses that want to automate frontline support without enterprise pricing or an implementation project: SaaS teams, e-commerce stores, and service businesses like clinics, law firms, and photographers, each of whom get tailored landing pages and templates. Agencies get a specific hook, a white-label program with branded dashboards and custom domains for reselling bots to clients.
It's a weaker fit if you already run a full help desk with its own AI layer, or if your support volume is high and steady enough that a credit model gets expensive against a flat-rate competitor. At that scale the comparison shifts.
Honest considerations
The biggest caveat isn't a feature gap, it's track record. For a product that says it's trusted by 1,000+ businesses, the independent footprint is thin: a single modest Show HN post back in 2023, and listings on aggregators like AlternativeTo and topai.tools rather than a deep bench of outside reviews. The named customer logos and five-star testimonials on the site are vendor-selected, so read them as marketing, not proof. That doesn't make the tool bad, and the changelog shows steady shipping into mid-2026, including timely additions like the OKF generator. It does mean you're leaning on your own trial more than on a wall of third-party validation, so take the 7-day trial seriously and test it on your real content and your real questions.
The other thing to stay honest about is the gap between "answers and acts" as a slogan and what the agent reliably does on your specific data. A retrieval-trained bot is only as good as the content you feed it and how diligently you prune wrong answers using the analytics. Budget time for that tuning; it isn't set-and-forget.
Overall, SiteSpeakAI is a capable, fairly priced, actively maintained support agent that earns a 4/5 for the SMB and agency crowd it targets. It's strong on breadth of features and value per dollar, held back mainly by a thin independent track record and a credit model you need to size carefully.
